Winter Christmas Gift Card Holder

Sleepy Saturdays to you all!
Yes lucky me was given a sleep in by my gorgeous girls!!
Doesn't happen often but this morning they took the liberty to stay in bed till 7! Woo Hoo! You may not think of it as a big sleep in but compared to the usual 5:30 or 6 am it is still something!

This morning I have my 365 Cards challenge for Thursday Day 87 and the word is
COOL!

Now if I was in Europe I would most likely be thinking cocktails by the pool but over her in OZ Mother Winter is starting to make herself at home, and while it certainly doesn't get cold enough to snow where I am, it sure as golly feels like the heavens are about to open with soft white flakes! Being the perfect theme for Christmas I thought I would take the opportunity to cross another Christmas project off the list.  I decided to give a gift card holder a try as I have never made one before, I used a tutorial from over on Splitcost Stampers and I will not give you the link as I followed their directions and markings and it turned out WRONG so I adapted it and made my own from their skeleton :$ I am glad I make a mock of things first when working with new templates!  Being a quick and easy project as well I can see many of these happening when the silly season is upon us!

 The front - closed.

 The back - closed.

 The back - open.
The front - open.

I love this glitter circle paper from Birch Haberdashery & Craft (GP309) and while it is technically not a Christmas paper I think the glitter bubbles are a little like snowflakes, especially with the sparkle.  The ribbon is from my old Christmas stash and the sentiment has no name so I do not know where I got that from, sorry :$

Thank you for dropping in on me.

It's lovely Leesa, lovely finishing touches to make it look special, as always my dear! I totally get what you mean about your lie-in, it's 5am here as I type, and I've been up with my Noah for almost an hour! 7am seems a long way off yet! (eyes roll!)
Hugs, Ali x
