Recylce It Challenge @ The Crafty Pad

Hello folks!

Yep it is Sunday already and time for this week's new challenge at
The Crafty Pad Challenge!

Challenge - #159 Recycle IT!

I hope you are all as excited as I am!  I really loved playing along to this one and I hope I can inspire you all to play along too!

I scavenged around and went head on by recycling the dress on this card that made from crape paper from one of the kids birthday parties. All the matting on this and what I printed the images onto is all book covers and old manilla folders from Dylans' books and school stuff last year that I just distressed with my inks.  And the ribbon on the skirt waist came from a birthday pressie wrapping.
Images used - The Crafty Pad Designs - Dress Form Trio and Sewing Machine and Elements Set (the measuring tape on the right) both available from HERE

This week the very lovely

For one lucky random winner, they will be receiving a
£10 voucher to spend in the online store!

Red, Blue & Green @ The Crafty Pad!

Super Sundays Folks!

And being Sunday means time for a new challenge at

This week is challenge #158 and it's a color one!
Blue, Red & Green

I've been playing with the very boyish Oliver Fishing and today opted to use the pre-colored version of him.  You can snag him up from The Crafty Pad Designs right HERE!

My card is pretty self explanatory this week.  Kept with the masculine theme by keeping the embellishments low and only using buttons and brads.  The froggy leaping is a fancy button and I could not resist adding his hopping trail with green bling. Papers and ribbon I pulled from my stash.

This week you are all playing along for a mighty cool prize from
And up for grabs is
A Free Download of their Software

The Crafty Pad Girls have done a great job with this color scheme this week to so please do pop past them and check them out!

We would love for you all to play along with us and I hope I see you there!

Thanks for dropping into see me today :))

I have been playing with the Pre-Colored Red Roses from Crafty Anns Digi Shop
Isn't these roses just adorable and so perfect for spring with all the new life coming to bloom in color around us!

Again, Graphic 45 papers and elements are at work (seriously thinking I need to see a therapist regarding my addiction to this brand) lol.  I brought the roses to life with some decoupage and a coat of dimensional magic and the flowers, ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

By playing along with us this week you will be in the running to win
2 digi images, 1 Backing paper collection and 1 pre-coloured sheet of your choice from the gorgeous Crafty Ann's!

Ann, the girls and I would love to see your projects this week and have you inspire us all with your ideas. Why not use this challenge and make a start on some of you Christmas gifts for this year.  If you need some more inspiration drop on over to the Crafty Ann's Challenge Blog and peaksie at the DT creations this week.  As always the girls have done some amazing projects that I am sure will get you all in the Crafting mood!

Get Well Soon @ Moving Along With The Times

Terrific Thursday to you all!

Wow I can not believe this last month has gone so fast!
Sadly so :( Today is my last post as GDT with the very gorgeous girls at

I would like to just take a moment and say a very BIG thank you to all the girls for having me along for the past 4 weeks.  I have had a blast of fun playing along with you all and this week was no exception!
Thank you!

The challenge this week is one that I do not craft along to often so I really did love
The Challenge - Get Well Soon!

I have a crafty friend that is a little down at the moment with a case of shingles and as she is such a keen sewer as well I thought I would try my best to incorporate this into the theme of her card.  I have also taken another step towards my New Years resolution and tried my 1st attempt at a twisted easel card (so love this and there is going to be many more of these in the future)

Anyway, enough talk and on with some pics to inspire you all to play along this week!
(lots of pics this week as I am a little biased with how in love I am with this piece :$
I love the lose threads on all of this.  I admit I stumbled across the idea when one of my threads broke but it looked really effective that I then went and added lose threads randomly along all my stitching :$  Amazing how things become through crafting and mistakes isn't it? lol

A view with the tag out.

Close up of the top section.

Close up of the bottom section - Just love those button scissors and thimble!

 Side back view.

Another side view.

And to finish, another front view.

I know I have already said this but I really did enjoy making this card so much!  It was one of those cards that just came together so well and without much thought as everything I picked up just 'clicked' and gelled.  Don't you love those crafty days that go like that :)   The image is a freebie (I do not know where I got it from :$ and both the sentiment and tag I generated on the computer.  Flowers are mainly from my stash of Kaiser blooms and the paper is a leftover from another project.  Lace, ribbons and the blue ribbon rose buds are all from my box of Nana's sewing elements given to me when she went to play with angels.

This week Moving Along With The Times is gladly being sponsored by
She has some too cute images so be sure to play along this week
to be in the chance of winning some!

Be sure to pop on over to Moving Along With The Times this week and check out the beautiful works all the DT have made.  Wowzers is just a start to their talent they have shown with this challenge!

I hope you like what you see
and that you all find the time and come along and take the challenge with us :)

The Letter 'B' @ The Crafty Pad

Good morning friends!

Wow it is already another week and time for a new challenge at

This week is a nice and easy one for you all
The Letter 'B'
We want to see things on your creation that start with the letter 'B'
I can think of many things just off the top of my head, brads, bling, blue, bows and the list goes on!

Again I have been playing with the gorgeous Lulu Blowing Bubbles image that was released earlier this year by The Crafty Pad Desgins, and I do have a very soft spot for her edited as the silhouette as you may well be guessing with how many times I have used her of late lol

I went girly b-beautiful, b-busy, b-bling, b-bows, b-buttons, b-bubbles and
b - birthday for this challenge!

This finished so sweetly that I nearly wanted to keep it and not give it away lol   The bling is from my new Christmas stash along with the ribbon.  The DP was pulled from my scraps along with the some of the cardstock pieces.  And the posh pins were handmade from my over supply of old beads.

The TCP girls have done some gorgeous inspiration for you all this week.  Out GDT Deonna has an exceptional beauty and Dawn has gone patriaotic this week with a stunner you must see,
so please do pop by The Crafty Pad Challenge blog and check out their fantastic works!

The DT call is still open as well and we would love to see some more applications!
Come on guys, done be shy! We wanna see you!

The gorgeous
is our sponsor this week, kindly offering a prize of a
£10 voucher to spend in their online store.

I look forward to you all sharing your creations with us this week
and looking forward to see how you all take the challenge this week!

Cute Critters GDT Moving Along With The Times

Dear me! It is Thursday again!
Not complaining as it another day closer to the weekend,
but since hitting 30,  days and the time just seem to fly past so fast!
Maybe it's dementia setting in already :$

Again this week I am playing along with the gorgeous girls at
Thank you so much for having me.
I am having a blast of fun!

This week the challenge for you all is
#135 Cute Critters
So dig out all those adorable animal images that I know you all have and play along with us!
This week to play with,
I was kindly given the Pips Squeaks Valentine's Day  images from
Digi My World is also sponsoring this weeks challenge and the winner will receive
a $10 Voucher from the Digi My World Shop!

I just fell in love with the little squeaky guy holding his flower so high and proud that I just had to use it! Here is what I came up this week.

This week I have attempted to mix up my style (new years resolution) and have gone with a 'my attempt of Clean and Simple'.  The sketch this week at Just Us Girls was the perfect help for me and I really tried my best to keep my embellishments to a limit (this is me we are talking about so I HAD to add some :)

As we are talking critters this week, I also could not resit adding in some doodles on my layers with some faux stitches.  Maybe it is just me but when I think of critters and cute ones at that, I think ladybugs and we all know ladybugs love to doodle a trail behind them. (or for me they do!)  Some bling, pearls, kindy glitz and a touch of ribbon and this cute little guy was all done.

I'm really happy how this little guy turned out and I too hope you like what you see.
I would love to see your cute little critters so please do pop on over to
and play along with us this week :)

Thank you for dropping ihttp://deepoceanchallengeblog.blogspot.com.au/n to see me today :)
