The Letter 'B' @ The Crafty Pad

Good morning friends! 

Wow it is already another week and time for a new challenge at 

The Crafty Pad!

This week is a nice and easy one for you all

The Letter 'B'

We want to see things on your creation that start with the letter 'B'

I can think of many things just off the top of my head, brads, bling, blue, bows and the list goes on!

Again I have been playing with the gorgeous Lulu Blowing Bubbles image that was released earlier this year by The Crafty Pad Desgins, and I do have a very soft spot for her edited as the silhouette as you may well be guessing with how many times I have used her of late lol 

I went girly b-beautiful, b-busy, b-bling, b-bows, b-buttons, b-bubbles and
b - birthday for this challenge! 

This finished so sweetly that I nearly wanted to keep it and not give it away lol   The bling is from my new Christmas stash along with the ribbon.  The DP was pulled from my scraps along with the some of the cardstock pieces.  And the posh pins were handmade from my over supply of old beads. 

The TCP girls have done some gorgeous inspiration for you all this week.  Out GDT Deonna has an exceptional beauty and Dawn has gone patriaotic this week with a stunner you must see,

It's Spring Colors at The Crafty Pad!

Evening blogger friends! 

Going to keep this one very sweet and short for you all today as I forgot to write this post up and I am already on borrowed time from my bed and a good night of beauty sleep :$

This week at The Crafty Pad we wanna see those

Think greens and yellows or pinks and purples any of the colors of spring.

I tried my hardest to work with yellow and green but they didn't like me the day I was making my challenge inspiration card for you all, so the switch was made to pinks with a touch of purple and the too gorgeous Lulu in the meadow image newly released by The Crafty Pad Designs! 

Being a little home sick for my old friends of late, I made this for one I am missing.  The sentiment is computer generated and Lulu is the colored version from The Crafty Pad Designs.

Have A Heart GDT with Moving Along With The Times

Good Morning Friends!

Can you believe it is another week gone and time for a new challenge with 

Moving Along With The Times!

This week the challenge is 

Have A Heart

Now I am going to admit that I am not a huge Valentines fan, in fact, my husband and I do not celebrate the day at all.  (We both think it is a great excuse for florists to charge double to three times the normal price for roses (and they do) and for retailers to scoop some more cash from us right after Christmas).  So instead of making a Valentines card/gift, I thought I would make a thank you project instead for a very dear friend and that is exactly where I went this week.

I took an old Ferreo Rocher Box (I ate all the contents over the Christmas break :$ spruced it up and on the inside added some gorgeous handmade blooms and some handmade posh pins to match the top of the box.  And knocked up a cute little card to go with from all the left over scraps. P.S. All the flowers and pins in this project are handmade and I don't think I ever want to do a pleat fold ever again lol

 There are lots of things in this recipe from my scallop and inverted scallop punch, die cut for the sentiment frame, ribbon on the top of the box as I was afraid the G45 papers would be too stiff to mold over the curve on the lid, wood fibers, lace, lots of distress inks, pearls, beads and pins and a heart charm that I popped some doubled sided sticky behind and filled the center in with kindy glitz.

Texture Challenge with The Crafty Pad

Tis' time for a new challenge at 

The Crafty Pad! 

This week is one of my favorites!

Texture! 

And we want to see LOTS of it!

I could not resist adding heaps to my card today!  

Wanna peak before all the details?

 I got very creative today with some Crafty Pad Designs Digital images - Polly with flower, Beach Hut, Molly Cat with Birdhouse, Rainbow Sally and I added them all in to make this adorable scene that I colored with my watercolor pencils!  I love how it finished up and all came together! Not bad for my first attempt too!

There is lots going on in here! I wanted to bring Polly's flower really to life and added a 'real' flower over the image bloom, I added a dry embossing panel that has been inked as well into the layout, some feathers for some soft oh la la, some metal-like holey chain ribbon , some brads that I have changed their color with some heat embossing and added some glitter too and loads and loads of flowers!

I love this little beauty and she is off to Grandma for her Birthday! And I am sure she will treasure it as much as I do!
