Chipboard @ Christmas Card Challenges

Mornings all :)
It is that time ... time for a new challenge at

This week the challenge is ...
Chipboard

This challenge was just screaming at me to dig out the Kaisercraft Chipboard Stocking bunting that I brought 2 years ago and have never 'gotten around to' starting, let along finishing!
It is a rather large piece when finished and strung all together.  And I have customized a stocking for each member of the family and have some close ups to share with you all too :)

Mummy's Stocking, 1st cab off the rank and well let's face it ...
It's all about me! :P

Daddy's the 2nd in charge around here so his stocking is next in line.

Chloe's is next, the other princess in the house and the next biggest ego with 'It's all about me!' syndrome.

Dylan comes in next to bat for the boys again and even up the color combo.

Last but not least is the carefree and adorable floating fairy Emilie.

Graphic 45 papers again at play here!  Thought it was about time I stopped stashing them and used them, and these are all from collections released in 2011.  I could not go past my Prima box of goodies and raided my stash for all the embellishments on the toes of the stockings.  I didn't use them sparingly either!  My Prima stash was actually a very lucky find at a scrapbook closing down sale and a bargain!  The Prima stand was fully stocked plus some more and I jokingly offered the lady 100 bucks for the lot and she said YES! OMG my jaw hit the floor, my wallet opened so fast, everything was off the stand and in the boot of my car in under 5 minutes.  And even though the lady was ever so kind and helped me pull everything off the stand and pack it nicely into boxes (there was 4 huge boxes), I was so worried she was going to change her mind lol.

Surprisingly I love to haggle (daddy is even worse!) but of all my 'crafty finds' my Prima stash would be the best.  This find was just over a year ago before we moved to Perth and let's face it, I craft a lot, we could say at least one card a week and I always dig into my Prima embellishment stash and I have not even made a dint in it yet!

We would love you to play along with us at
The challenge theme is optional, the only real rule is you must create a new Christmas Holiday, winter or Hanukkah card / creation.

I hope I see you there :)
Thanks for dropping in to see me today :)

Christmas Stair / Step Cards @ Inspired Stamps

Good Morning beautiful people!

I'm back once again to share with you a creation made using

Today the girls were asked to make a Christmas Stair / Step Card!  And until today, I have never made one of these!  I just love the Inspired Stamps - Nativity Set so I could not resist playing with it.

Considering this is my first step card, I am impressed, it finished way better than what I had in my head!  I was trying to achieve a straw like background and I think I have managed it with the ribbon I used over the DP.  It is not only eye catching in real life but also feels wonderful under your fingers and unexpectedly it gives a great texture to the card.  I have not had a lot of time to 'shop' lately so everything is pulled together from my stash once again, though my stash could use a good shopping through as it is over flowing.

As always please call past the Inspired Stamps Blog
and check out the amazing creations the other girls have made.
Their Christmas creations are sure to inspire you to Jingle all the way to your craft room!

I'll be back next Tuesday to share another Inspired Stamps creation with you!
Happy Crafting till then!

Inspiration Photo @ Christmas Card Challenges

Mornings all :)
It is time again for a new challenge at

This week the challenge is an...
Inspirational Photo
Wowzers! Can you say bright and colorful!
The pinks, blues and the green caught my eye in this shot
along with the hint of purple so with a shabby beautiful style,
that is where I headed this week :)

Honestly, while the inspiration photo is just gorgeous, I seriously thought Mojo and I were going to struggle to pull something together.  Surprisingly though, once I sat down at my desk and cleared my head, my fingers just kind of got busy creating.  Not sure how I managed it, but I resisted my urge to do some sewing and I love the finished result, I seriously doubt if I could pull these colors off every week though ;)

As always the girls and I would love if you played along with us at

I look forward to seeing you there!

Girly Girly Prim & Propper @ Moving Along With The Times

Mornings all :)

Judith is the host this week at

And she has picked a great challenge for us all ....
Girly Girly but Prim & Proper

I've been itching to make something to store my new Specrtum Noir Pens in so I combined it with this weeks challenge and .... wella an idea was born!
(I got a little snap happy!)
Spectrum Noir Pen Holder

Different view

I have a few odd promarkers and copics and they live on the side in a little box.

I am sure I will find something to stash on this side lol

A view from the top!  As it is only made from cardboard I thought I should decorate the top and that will hopefully deter my putting things ontop of it.

View of the shelves with some of the pens out.  The shelves are a little wonky (it is only made with cardboard after all), but it does the job and I like the shabby feel to it.

Another view looking down.

And the other side looking down!
(I did warn you I got snap happy lol)

Ok, this is a dramatic improvement to the old ice cream tub that these pens were living in!  I pulled this together from just a plan on paper.  The cardboard is the heavy duty stuff that I have recycled from old boxes and packaging, it was extremely hard to score and fold for the sides and why it went a little 'scewif'.  The whole piece has some serious tape and glue in it all so it is not about to fall down and collapse and to cover all that 'mess' I then covered it all with paper.  The whole piece is sitting on a Kaisercraft wooden plaque and the additional boxes on the side are also Kaisercreaft.  All the embellishments are raided from my stash (still after this serious over embellishment job it still needs some more workouts! )

Even if it is a little wonky here and there I am still in love with the finished result and it has taken pride and place in the new craftroom :)

The MAWTT girls have some WOWing creations too so pop on over to
and check out the talented girls and share the love!

We also have a fab prize up for grabs from
But you have to play along to have your chance of winning!

Thanks for dropping in to see me today :)

Shaped Cards @ Inspired Stamps

Good Morning beautiful people!

I am back once again to share with you a creation made using

For today's post we were asked to make an Inspired Stamps shaped card!

I don't make enough shaped cards so I had great fun making this one and was in need of a Thank You card so I reached for the Inspired Stamps - Thank You stamp set and matched it up with a Maple Leaf shape.

I would have loved to have shared more photos with you today but we are still waiting for our internet to be connected and hubby has sternly told me if I go over on my mobile cap, the difference will be coming out of my crafty budget! so forgive me for the limited number of photos today :)

The leafI cut on the Cameo along with the flower and the tag.  I jazzed up the flower with a pretty jewel and layered it on some orange lace.  I cut the backing leaves for the flower from the Spellbinders Assorted Leaves dies, ribbon I snagged from my stash and everything got a good does of distressing as always lol

We are all shaping up today so check out the
 Inspired Stamps Blog
and see what the other girls have been up to!
I am sure you will not be disappointed with what they have to share with you!

I'll be back next Tuesday to share another Inspired Stamps creation with you!
Happy Crafting till then!

Animal Print @ Christmas Card Challenges

Mornings all :)
It's that time again, time for a new challenge at

This week the challenge is ...
 Animal Print(s)

Hmm...  I will not lie, nothing against animals but this is not one of my favorite themes to work with lol
So I went for the Aussie Crocodile and made some faux Crocodile skin and made a masculine tic tac holder for Dylan for Christmas.

I always see these pop up around Christmas time and I have wanted to make one for the past year or two so thought it was time I took a bite from the cookie and tried my hand at it.  Way easy I tell you and I will be making plenty more for some great little stocking stuffer gifts  as it was so much fun to make.  I think I could go crazy embellishing ones for the girls!

As always the girls and I would love if you played along with us at
