Christmas Stair / Step Cards @ Inspired Stamps

Good Morning beautiful people!

I'm back once again to share with you a creation made using

Today the girls were asked to make a Christmas Stair / Step Card!  And until today, I have never made one of these!  I just love the Inspired Stamps - Nativity Set so I could not resist playing with it.

Considering this is my first step card, I am impressed, it finished way better than what I had in my head!  I was trying to achieve a straw like background and I think I have managed it with the ribbon I used over the DP.  It is not only eye catching in real life but also feels wonderful under your fingers and unexpectedly it gives a great texture to the card.  I have not had a lot of time to 'shop' lately so everything is pulled together from my stash once again, though my stash could use a good shopping through as it is over flowing.

As always please call past the Inspired Stamps Blog
and check out the amazing creations the other girls have made.
Their Christmas creations are sure to inspire you to Jingle all the way to your craft room!

I'll be back next Tuesday to share another Inspired Stamps creation with you!
Happy Crafting till then!

Shaped Cards @ Inspired Stamps

Good Morning beautiful people!

I am back once again to share with you a creation made using

For today's post we were asked to make an Inspired Stamps shaped card!

I don't make enough shaped cards so I had great fun making this one and was in need of a Thank You card so I reached for the Inspired Stamps - Thank You stamp set and matched it up with a Maple Leaf shape.

I would have loved to have shared more photos with you today but we are still waiting for our internet to be connected and hubby has sternly told me if I go over on my mobile cap, the difference will be coming out of my crafty budget! so forgive me for the limited number of photos today :)

The leafI cut on the Cameo along with the flower and the tag.  I jazzed up the flower with a pretty jewel and layered it on some orange lace.  I cut the backing leaves for the flower from the Spellbinders Assorted Leaves dies, ribbon I snagged from my stash and everything got a good does of distressing as always lol

We are all shaping up today so check out the
 Inspired Stamps Blog
and see what the other girls have been up to!
I am sure you will not be disappointed with what they have to share with you!

#179 Paper Piecing

I have loads of photos today so I will not bore you with a long worded post lol
I used the adorable Butterfly and Verse Set available from the The Crafty Pad Designs Store
The verse alone is magical and when mixed with the butterflies turned into embellishments it is just LUSH!
I was in the mood for something really pretty so I made a handbag card and there is even a little gift inside especially for a very dear crafty friends birthday coming up soon!

Paper pieced butterfly embellishment made from the butterflies in the Butterfly and Verse Set

The clasp is left over from a alteration I made to a tea chest.

Yes that is 34 panels of hand stitching!   Gee do I obsess much???

Another little butterfly embellishment!

A little gift to sit inside - A selection of handmade pins and some blanks so they can make their own too.

My daughter calls this a wedding cake, it looks adorable and good enough to eat lol !

The gift sits nicely inside ontop of the verse and is easily removed.

And lastly the set together.

I raided lots of bits from my stash for this, the bag clasp was left over from an altered tea chest, the lace on the front of the bag was an off-cut left over, along with the trim used on the pin holder.  The flowers are Kaiser and they were also left over from another project.  To make the butterflies more wispy and magical they are sitting on some wood fibers and there is a lots of pearls and some homemade posh pins used for the butterfly antenna's.

Flowers for Friday

A Friday night with the kids sleeping so really just me home I decided to go and play with some flowers and have some fun.  I found this flowerpot while browsing through the www. and thought it looked adorable so ... as it goes I had to make one too lol.

I had a read through the tutorial and whipped a mock one up and played around with it.  I liked the idea, I just didn’t like the finished size or the versatility of it so ... as it goes I played some more and wallah!

To me this card is just too pretty to be laying down and not seen so I backed the back of the pot with an additional piece of card, folded it again and added a simple stand hold so now it can be up and displayed.  I also found I needed some extra height to firmly mount my flowers onto.

I edged the edges with pink ink to make the pot more defined and I used a digi swirl image accented with pink and turquoise jewels as my design on the pot.  The image is a free image I have saved in my stash but I have no idea who it belongs to (if you do recognise the image can you please let me know so I can give credit to where credit is due, thanks).

What do I love
I love the flower border with the jewel flowers.
The image – the jewels just set the piece.
The fact it can now stand and be displayed!
