Untie the ribbons

Mornings :) 

I found myself playing in the craftroom last night so I thought I would pop in and share what Mojo and I managed to make. 

This fortnight the JustRite Friday challenge is a sketch.  

The instant I saw the sketch, Mojo stirred and I just had to play along, and so we did! 

 This is the sketch we had to work with. 

I don't know what it is that grabbed me about this sketch, but the 'just had to' moment got stuck on me. I was worried it was a little 'C&S' so I added bling highlights to the embossed damask background, used glitter paper for the flower and I adore this sentiment from the Amazing Paper Grace October kit.

I do love how beautiful this turned out, and as the challenge has only just opened, I think there may be a high chance of another play with this yet :)

Mojo's Silver Lining

Good morning folks :) 

I've been fortunate to get a moment to myself of late, 

so I took the opportunity to play along with some of my favorite challenges! 

The Shabby Tea Room has a gor-gor-gorgeous inspiration picture this week and the challenge is Aqua, Brown and a touch of silver.  When I saw this pop up on my blog roll on Monday I just could not resist and had to play along....

So I played :)

 

 

Ohh I had so much fun making this, so much so, that I crafted way past my curfew and I did not want to get out of bed this morning lol But ... It was sooooo worth it! :)

I am absolutely in love with the square lattice embossing folder from Stampin Up at the moment (I don't know why? I just am!) and I am also going through a craze of inking my embossing folders so I had to do that too with Versa Mark Sky Blue ink.  The sentiment along with the dies are from of the Amazing Paper Grace kits that I have again stamped in the Sky Blue and also heat clear embossed and distressed the edges with TH Tea Stain.

I really had no plan of attack with this card, I kind of just crafted and let things go where ever they went.  So for the silver lining of the challenge, I first decided to add some metallic silver stitching around the edges and as the card came together the silver butterfly charm made its way into the card and then the glittered silver sprigs in the flower embellishments.  

I am not sure why, but I had the brain wave to grab a bobbin and decorate it as well in the same style.  And for the little dust collector it is, I think it is a perfect trinket to go with the card.  Mojo seems to have found his groove again so hopefully I will be back soon with something else new to share :)

Thankful / Thanks @ Inspired Stamps

It is time to share another amazing creation with

Inspired Stamps 

With Thanksgiving on the doorstep we are focusing on Thankful card this week!

Today I have taken inspiration from the gorgeous Becca Feeken at Amazing Paper Grace.  I do think it is important when CASE-ing that you add some of your own quirkiness and individuality into the piece too, so while I kept with the original layout, I strayed and added in the extra sentiment and embellishments like the feather and the flower. 

 

I fell in love with this simple yet elegant layout the moment my eyes saw it and I knew it would work perfectly with the Friendship's Flowers from Inspired Stamps.  For the sentiment I did some masking on the  1.5 inch Circle Greetings capturing the word Thankful, these are also available from the Inspired Stamps Store {here}.  I love the added touch of the feather, it adds a light wispy magical touch to all and softens it all quiet dramatically.
