Feline Thankful Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to our FELINE THANKFUL BLOG HOP!!   I hope you have hopped from the gorgeous Karen @ Feline Creative  :)   If not you can pop on over to the Feline Playful site HERE and hop along with us from the start to end.  

We are SO THRILLED you have chosen to hop along with us. We have organized this hop to thank all of those who have joined us as followers - over 1700 of you and counting!! We want to say "THANK YOU" to all of you who have been so supportive of this wonderful blog that tracks over 500 challenges! We want to say a very SPECIAL THANK YOU to KAREN HOWARD, who started this blog on her own and maintained it by herself at the beginning tracking challenges and then winners, DT Calls, blog hops and more. Now over 14 ladies make up the DT for Feline Playful, lead by the AMAZING SHELLEY and we continue to add NEW CHALLENGES almost daily including winners for those challenges, DT calls, blog candy and more.

We decided to host a BLOG HOP to say "THANKS!!" to all our followers for their continuing support. We have joined forces with a very long list of FANTASTIC SPONSORS who have donated images, store credit/$ vouchers and Guest DT Spots to our HOP WINNERS. Our hop will last from Sept. 21 until Sept. 27 so that hopefully everyone will have enough time to complete the hop. You must leave a comment on all blogs along the hop route to be eligible for our prizes. Each DT member (we have both past and present DT members playing along) also will have a letter on their blog for you to find and complete a sentence. Once you have figured out the sentence (the letters will be scrambled), you will e-mail your answer to us at Feline Playful and you will be put into a drawing for a major  prize as well.

Now it also would not be a FELINE PLAYFUL PARTY without sharing a creation and of-course; lots of challenges to boot!  In keeping with out 'THANKFUL' theme I have a 'thanks' gift for a very special friend (that while she doesn't know it yet lol) after she helps me unpack my life on the other end in Perth in a few days is probably going to need a manicure; so I have whipped up a nail file holder card for her with the luscious Graphic 45 Wizard of Oz papers and chipboard elements.

I'm not usually here on a Tuesday but this week I have an extra special post for you all.

I am extremely honored to be playing along as a GDT with

I must say a Huge BIG THANK YOU to the girls for having me and letting me play along with their gorgeous creations this week, and for the month of June!

And to celebrate the occasion I am also throwing in

a bag of goodies to one lucky hopper! 

Here is my creation to celebrate the occasion and to be honest this is a technique I really do not use very much and I should do more often as I had such fun getting all inky and creative making this weeks card! 

I am still working on making a collection of rubber and clear stamps so I do not have many but today I used 2 that I picked up from a garage sale for only $1! - I love a bargain!  The gorgeous pink flower is from Mulberry Street and I have made the 2 backing rosettes that it is sitting on from scrap DP. The top rosette I have added glitter flecks to, then added pink feathers behind from an old feather duster, and then behind that I have mounted it onto a larger rosette.   I have also used 3 different ribbons and some lace to make my own decorative ribbon trim.  And while I have mounted the sentiment onto the card with foam tape I have also added a silver chain dangle from the rosette to the sentiment for extra character. 

I also wanted to give this card lots of textures for under the fingers, so for the spots on the DP on the front of the card I have used my White Pearl Dimensional Paint on the spots witch have given a raised effect and look like real pearls at a fraction of the price!
