2nd week of the Birthday Party @ MAWTT

It is the 2nd week of celebrations at

We are celebrating our 3rd Birthday with a
and would love you to share your Birthday Creations with us!

Last week I shared a masculine card with you, so to keep things fair, this week, I thought I would share a feminine card using my favorite image Dress From Trio from The Crafty Pad Designs.

I had some woodgrain designer paper left over from another project so I used it up on this card.  The large pink flower is again Prima and the pins and button are homemade, ribbon and the gorgeous mini ribbon rose on the mannequin are from my stash.  I added some real stitching around the outside border and there is some faux stitching on the heart buttons.  I love the color combo pink and chocolate, and as much as I would love to save this one just for me and my birthday, my mum loves the cobo just as much, so this one is in the mail for her Birthday.  I am sure she will be chuffed.

Don't forget we have some great prizes up for grabs
and all you have to do is
PLAY ALONG WITH US!

So pop on over to
Check out the inspiration from the girls this week and PLAY ALONG!

Rolled Paper Flowers @ Christmas Card Challenges

Morning all :)

Sadly this is my last week playing guest along with

I would like to say a big THANK YOU to the girls for having me :)
It has been wicked fun & great to make a dent in the Chrissy cards for this year.

I could not have asked for a better last challenge either ....
#30 - Rolled Paper Flowers
This one certainly got me thinking with this creation :)

The angel I designed and cut on the Cameo and is made up of a base layer of angel and wings that has been ink distressed, and then there is 2 additional layers of wings only that have also been ink distressed, have feathers layered behind them and the top layers also have the addition of glitter flakes.

To 'hide' the joining of the additional layers of wings to the body I covered the area with the 3 rolled paper roses, some handmade posh pins and a little bell.  Every angel needs a halo so I whipped one up using some gold wire from my Crafty Geeks Wind It  prize I won from Purple Cows  and also continued the wire down wrapping it around her lower body. Finishing her off with a sentiment that was computer generated.
I think she is pretty spectacular, what do you think?

Considering this was 'just an idea' that popped in my head, I am rather pleased with the end result, it is so soft and delicate to look at and with the addition of the feathers it feels the same under your fingertips.

We would love to see your Rolled  Paper Flowers this week at
Christmas Card Challenges
So please do come join in the fun!

It's a Birthday Bash @ MAWTT

Have I got some fun news to share with you all today!

Turning 3!

What better way to celebrate than have a
And funny enough, that is this weeks theme!

AND this challenge is running for TWO weeks!
Starting this challenge and over the summer break, MAWTT challenges will be running fortnightly instead of weekly so you might want to note that down somewhere.

This week I was in need of a guys Birthday card for my step dad and Barry Birthday Bear from The Stamp Fairy was the perfect little fellow for the job!

I've colored Barry Birthday Bear with Spectrum Noir Pens, Designer paper is from Stampin Up, the swirl border is an EK sucess punch, being 'for a guy' I kept the embellishments minimal, the flower is Prima (and it's soft brown/sued and not to feminine) so it's guy perfect, pin is homemade, ribbon is from my stash and the Sentiment is a rubber stamp I found way in the back of my craft room that I did not even know I had (love those kinds of finds lol)

We have some great sponsors lined up for you all to play along for.
Here are just a few who have generously offered some prizes for you good folks!

We would love you all to help us celebrate by playing along with us!
To win one of these great prizes all you have to do is ...
PLAY ALONG WITH US!

Dots & Stripes @ Christmas Card Challenges

Morning all :)

Again I am gladly playing guest along with the girls at

#29 Dots and Stripes
is the challenge this week :)
And it is a theme that can work so well with Christmas so please do play along!

I really got my hands dirty this week and dug out my Stampin Up Snow Swirled set for this card.

I am loving the blues and browns of this card!  The papers are digital and again, from an unknown source.  I used my spotty dotty embossing folder, ribbon lace and tiny snowflakes from my stash and the large snowflake was cut with the Cameo that I then glittered and blinged up.  And of course, everything got a touch of distress inks around the edges to give a vintage / shabby feel :)   Even though there is the blingy snowflake I think this would be a great males Christmas card so I've earmarked this little fellow to be off to the girls godfather.

I am seriously making a dent in my Christmas cards
and you could be too if you play along with us at
We would love to see you, so please do come join us!

Thanks for dropping into see me today :))

Food @ The Crafty Pad

Good morning everyone :)

Sunday again so time for a new challenge at

This week I got to pick the theme and I chose
#175 Food!
We would like to see your creations based around food, ie a food image, Designer Paper or embellishments.

While browsing through The Crafty Pad Store the other day I found an image I had not spotted before so thought this would be the perfect time to use ...  Summer Sundae.  I think this image is just delicious and oozes so many ideas in my head.

Today I have colored with Spectrum Noir Pens, papers are digital from Raspberry Road, flower is Prima and the pin is homemade, jewels and flower stems are from my stash.  I stepped away from my usual style of TH Distress ink to try something a little different with paint.... and I will admit it is 'brighter' than what I am used to making but I do love the finish.

We have a wonderful sponsor this week too for you all to play along for.

is sponsoring us for this challenge and have kindly offered a
£5.00 voucher to spend in their store

In need of some more inspiration, pop on over to The Crafty Pad Challenge Blog!
The girls have provided you all with something I am sure will tempt you to play along with us :))

Get Krafty @ MAWTT

Good Morning!

It's time for a new Challenge at

This week Pami is the hostess with the mostess and has picked .... .
Get Krafty!
- use Kraft Cardstock somewhere in your creation!

I have used one of our sponsors images this week - World Of Beauty from Digi Darla's and made a wedding card.

Lots and lots of pearls this week * understatement lol* but they all look so pretty and I seem to have an abundance of them as I stash them!  The pearls on the border are Kaisercraft, along with the rose.  The pin is handmade and the flower is sitting on a wood fiber birds nest with more pearls scattered throughout.   Ribbon and lace are both from my stash and the Kraft card-stock and all the papers are actually left over from other projects and pulled my scrap stash.

Digi Darla has ever so kindly offered the winner this week
5 images of their choice!
Thank you Digi Darla
She has some oh la la ADORABLE images
so be sure to play along with us this week
to be in the draw to win this great prize!

Woodgrain @ Christmas Card Challenges

Good Morning all :)

This is my 2nd week Guesting along with the girls at

and this weeks challenge for you all is ....
#28 - Woodgrain

Hmmm ... Not an easy one for me I will say, and I did struggle at first with ideas :$  I ended up making my own wood-grain DP using my scraps of Vanilla cardstock, some white spray paint and some good old Tim Holtz Distress inks.  And when I finished playing with this, it really blew my socks off that I had not only met the challenge, but fallen in love with yet another card :))

The gritty details - The woodgrain DP is handmade, the sentiment is a digital that I found on the web :$ The embellishments are ALL PRIMA, I could not resist digging into my stash of treasures and thought this was a good time to let the poor things see light after nearly a year in the hording box :) *that is bad stashing lol*  The ribbon and lace are also from my stash.  Got to say, I am really happy with the finish of this card

The girls at Christmas Card Challenges have all done an amazing job to inspire you all this week and we would love if you played along! So please do drop by and see them and share some love with them

Thanks for dropping into see me today :))

Anything But a Card @ MAWTT

Good Morning!

It's that time again for a new Challenge at

This week Lovely Lisa is the hostess and has picked ....
Anything But a Card!

Well I guess you can see, I decorated a jar!  And made a start on some little stocking fillers.  Those it seem the mice have gotten into the jar since I put it together (I won't mention names DH lol)
I used Floppy Latte's Designs Candy Cane, this would have to be one of my fav Christmas  images and I colored it digitally.  I used papers from my scraps, added some ribbon, flowers left over from another project and the leaves are plastic that I spray painted gold.

We have a super sponsor this week
Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps
