Mojo's Silver Lining

Good morning folks :)

I've been fortunate to get a moment to myself of late,
so I took the opportunity to play along with some of my favorite challenges!

The Shabby Tea Room has a gor-gor-gorgeous inspiration picture this week and the challenge is Aqua, Brown and a touch of silver.  When I saw this pop up on my blog roll on Monday I just could not resist and had to play along....

So I played :)

Ohh I had so much fun making this, so much so, that I crafted way past my curfew and I did not want to get out of bed this morning lol But ... It was sooooo worth it! :)

I am absolutely in love with the square lattice embossing folder from Stampin Up at the moment (I don't know why? I just am!) and I am also going through a craze of inking my embossing folders so I had to do that too with Versa Mark Sky Blue ink.  The sentiment along with the dies are from of the Amazing Paper Grace kits that I have again stamped in the Sky Blue and also heat clear embossed and distressed the edges with TH Tea Stain.

I really had no plan of attack with this card, I kind of just crafted and let things go where ever they went.  So for the silver lining of the challenge, I first decided to add some metallic silver stitching around the edges and as the card came together the silver butterfly charm made its way into the card and then the glittered silver sprigs in the flower embellishments.

I am not sure why, but I had the brain wave to grab a bobbin and decorate it as well in the same style.  And for the little dust collector it is, I think it is a perfect trinket to go with the card.  Mojo seems to have found his groove again so hopefully I will be back soon with something else new to share :)

Fair winds and following seas till then xx
And thank you for sailing in to see me today!

Happy 2nd Birthday Inspired Stamps!

Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday Inspired Stamps
Congratualtions on turning TWO!

Today at
We are celebrating their 2nd Birthday! Woo Hoo!

And in honor of the occasion Mr Mojo & I have a Birthday Card to share with you!

I love the Autumn goodness colors in this!  And they go perfectly with the Friendship's Flowers from Inspired Stamps.  The Happy Birthday Sentiment is from the Fruitful Flourish set, this set has some great inspirational quotes and words and has so many uses!  I stamped the flower in black embossing powder and decided to layer it up as well.  To add some more magic and life into it I also gave it a coat of dimensional magic.  The trim is new from the Really Reasonable Ribbons - October Kit Club (a pressy I spoiled myself with for my birthday and brought a yearly subscription lol).  The wooden fibers I rolled into a birds nest and raided a flower, some green pearls and a pin from my stash to finish the card off.

We would love you to share in our celebrations this week too!
So don't forger to stop on by the
and wish them a Happy Birthday!

Thank you for stopping into see me today and sharing my Inspired Stamps creation with you!
I look forward to sharing another with you next Tuesday :)
Happy Crafting till then!

Seeing Stars @ Moving Along With The Times

Mornings all!
It is time to get excited!
There is a new challenge at ....

This week I am the hostess with the mostess and I challenge you all to ....
Seeing Stars!

With Christmas round the corner you can make a Christmas card, Birthday card, whatever!  I just wanna see stars!

This week our fabulous sponsor is ...
and I have had some fun playing with Molly fairy 4 & 5!

I have been playing alot with 'less is more' lately and the style is growing on me (I still love my shabby vintage and over embellished too! don't worry lol). With Chloe starting school this past year I have found an extra need to keep some 'little girl cards' in stock so this is one for the Chloe's party's pile!

I let Chloe pick the image and she loved Molly Fairy and I got to do some well overdue coloring practice with the Spectrum Noirs.  I added a little glitter sparkle to her wings, raided my stash of ribbon, lace and jewels and I also did the inside and used Molly fairy inside as well.  I do love how this finished (even if it there is alot of WHITE SPACE even for me) and better yet, Chloe loves it so no doubt one of her little friends will too :)

There is a fabby do prize up this week from the loveable
Stamp Fairy!
So please do link up and play along!
We would love to see you!

The MWATT girls are all seeing stars this week and have some LUSH creations to share with you so pop over and see them and share some love with them too!

Animals @ The Crafty Pad

Good mornings beautiful peoples :)

It is time for a new challenge at ....
and the challenge this week is .....
Use an animal!

I thought it was about time I stopped stashing my Fancy Pants papers that I treated myself with for my birthday and matched them up with Harry the hedgehog with balloons available from The Crafty Pad Designs {here}

These papers are a little bright for me but they do distress up well with a touch of Tim Holtzs inks :))
I colored Harry with my Spectrum Noirs, and I think I am getting a little better at coloring, but more practice is still needed *me thinks* I had some off cuts of the DP left over and it really seemed a shame to pop them in the scraps basket so I cut up some little banners just to go along the bottom, found the flower all by himself while looking for the twine so he was thrown in too with a wooden button.

We have a great sponsor this week for you all to play along for too!
has ever so kindly given us some
Promarkers to give away!

You have to be in it too win it!
So come along and link up with us at

#179 Paper Piecing @ The Crafty Pad

Good Morning Crafty Folks!
It is time for a new challenge at ....
***EDIT*** please note Mr Blogger has been naughty and has posted this post 12 hours before the challenge has gone live at The Crafty Pad - So sorry :$

So without further ado, lets gets to this weeks fun challenge
picked by our lovely Ms Ali!

She would love to see
#179 Paper Piecing

I have loads of photos today so I will not bore you with a long worded post lol
I used the adorable Butterfly and Verse Set available from the The Crafty Pad Designs Store
The verse alone is magical and when mixed with the butterflies turned into embellishments it is just LUSH!
I was in the mood for something really pretty so I made a handbag card and there is even a little gift inside especially for a very dear crafty friends birthday coming up soon!

Paper pieced butterfly embellishment made from the butterflies in the Butterfly and Verse Set

The clasp is left over from a alteration I made to a tea chest.

Yes that is 34 panels of hand stitching!   Gee do I obsess much???

Another little butterfly embellishment!

A little gift to sit inside - A selection of handmade pins and some blanks so they can make their own too.

My daughter calls this a wedding cake, it looks adorable and good enough to eat lol !

The gift sits nicely inside ontop of the verse and is easily removed.

And lastly the set together.

I raided lots of bits from my stash for this, the bag clasp was left over from an altered tea chest, the lace on the front of the bag was an off-cut left over, along with the trim used on the pin holder.  The flowers are Kaiser and they were also left over from another project.  To make the butterflies more wispy and magical they are sitting on some wood fibers and there is a lots of pearls and some homemade posh pins used for the butterfly antenna's.

We have a fabulous sponsor prize for you all to play along for this week!
 has kindly given us
a £20 voucher to spend in their store
to one lucky random winner!

Sentimental @ MAWTT

Good Morning!

It's that time again for a new Challenge at
Remember our challenges have gone fortnightly over the summer break!

This week Debs is the hostess and has picked ....
Make it Sentimental
No Images - Just sentiments

Everything is to a minimal this week for me :$ In place of a DP I used an embossing folder on some white cardstock then cut into inches and ink distressed all the edges and stuck it down on some more ink distressed white card stock. The sentiment stamp is from Woodware USA and I think from the Sweet Treats clear stamp set.  I embellished with some pearls and the ivory flower and leaf all from my stash that I have been hording since forever.  End result, was another card I fell in love with and did not want to part with lol but this little honey made it's way over to the UK for one of my dear friends Birthdays :)

We also have a wonderful prize sponsor this week!

As always the
girls have some stunning creations to share with you all
so please do share some love with them :)

Thanks for dropping bye! and hope to see you there :)
