Don’t you just love those days where everything just falls into place? Where each choice of paper fits just right, every embellishment seems to work and you don’t have any of those moments of standing back, looking and thinking of what other papers you have and saying “hmmm maybe not this one but I’ll try this one”. I was lucky enough to have one of those days and it did ‘just fall into place’.
I was working on two challenges today.
First was the sketch from Mojo Mondays (Sketch #160), and the second was the weekly challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room (Pumpkin Patch).
I know there is not a pumpkin in sight on my card but their inspiration pic of the pumpkins just screamed to me a smooth warm pumpkin soup with a dollop of cream, an earthy fall and a change in seasons.
The image is Bare-tree-by-fence available for free from wpclipart. I was going to colour the fence but I think she looks stunning just in the black on the cream, the text is computer generated.
What do I love
I love the punched, then embossed leaves. They are from a dark brown handmade paper with gold spot highlights and their texture is just divine up against the glitter green leaves.
The bow, she really sets the card.
The adorable wooden buttons – I just love these and they were a bargain from the preloved clothes shop (I brought a gorgeous jacket but changed the wooden buttons for some black ones).
The image – it just works so well.
Challenges this little lovely is entering.

This little lovely is off to my mother in law as she makes the bestest pumpking soup and she was in my thoughts today as I played; so I think it's just right that she receives it :)
