Mrs Geppetto

Even from across the big pond
I can hear you all mumbling to yourselves
Who the freak is Geppetto? pmsl

Well you obviously are not up to speed on your fairy-tales!
(With 2 girls in the house I can't help but be!)

For the record ...
Geppetto was Pinocchio's father who was by trade a wood carver.
The story goes that Geppetto carved a boy puppet from wood and wished him to life for his son ....
Remembering now ???

Well this brings me strangely to my post today.
I was asked ... How do I design my cards?

Today's card is taken from one of my scribbles, from one of my many notepads. It started as a sketch (I think a Mojo Monday one as I have a scribble MM on the top) and I added my thoughts or what I wanted in my card on the other page.  I then built my sketch up.  Not all my ideas flowed onto my card but I certainly brought a pencil drawing to life and hence I feel a little like Geppetto!

Anyway, I want to share my card with you and underneath you shall find my 'scribble'.

If you enlarge the scribble I didn't do to bad.  The only thing on the 'add to list' that didn't make it was the heart scallop die-cut that I wanted to grunge heat emboss and when I built my flower on the sketch I had the thought of adding a feather behind as well but that didn't make the cut either.  I did add the tiny butterfly on the torn edge and glimmer mist to my flower was not on the original plan either but that is the great thing about a scribble, you can take it where you want :)

I also managed to pull off a C5 card and that was a really nice change from the 6 x 6's.  And surprisingly enough I don't have any Thank You cards in my stash and I am in need of one!
And by the way ... The Thank You ticket is a Freebie from Sentiments 4 you or you can click HERE for the direct link to it :)

Thank you for dropping in on me!
