Maggie's Gift

Hooray for Hump Day!

A quick post for you today.

You may remember back in March I made a gorgeous little Ballerina tin (HERE) filled with some crafty stash bits and pieces for a swap with the darling Ms Ali who I work with on The Crafty Pad team. Today I have another swap gift and this one is for the Marvelous Ms Maggie who I also work with over at TCP

Maggie can get her hands on some twine(y) ribbony stuff  that I just can't seem to find over here in OZ and she would love some of my punch butterfly borders and the little butterfly off cuts.  So a swap was the perfect idea.

This is Ms Maggie's gift - I was not happy with just popping them in a simple envelope so I made a packet for both the borders and the butterflies and had great fun embellishing them.  The envelope for the borders was a bit of a 'head think' as the borders are 12 inch long so I had to work out an ellegant way to extend it.

I added magnets to seal the envelopes as it is unlikely that the contents would all be used in one crafting session and I added the clear window on the front so the goods can be seen if there was an assortment of colors.  I also think packaging is extra nice when you can partly see whats inside.  (I used brazil white cardstock as it can be colored with promarkers ect to match each creation they are used on).

Again I think this is a really simple and cheap little gift that will be getting used for Christmas gifts and stocking fillers for all my crafty friends!

And just as reminder The Crafty Pad challenge this week is
Lace AND Bows.
There is still plenty of time to enter so come along and take up the challenge!

Oh Leesa, what a gorgeous gift box you made for the swap! It looks amazing, you should try selling some of these, I'm sure they'd sell like hot cakes!
Now I feel even MORE guilty about the rubbish plastic zip-loc bags I sent your swap in!!! (MEGA red face!) I promise to do better next time!
