Christmas Card for Ben's Dad

Wonderful Sunday morning to you all!

Well I have been having lots of crafty fun of late and one thing on my agenda has been to make a start on my Christmas cards so I am not swamped in December.  I have been itching to use this free Snowy Christmas scene I found here as I am so in love with. Even have it as my desktop pic on my computer lol.

I thought this would be perfect for Ben's Dad and his wife for Christmas.  They spent Christmas in Europe last year with snow so this would be a nice reminder for them while they are enjoying it this year in the middle of our hot hot summer.

Today I have used lots of new things from my stash, the papers are new and I love the blue and brown combo, 2 of my new Hemline Christmas Cherub buttons and the blue flower is a new one from Prima.  The ribbon and the chipboard frame I pulled from my stash of old things.

 The front.

 The inside.

Side view of the pop up frame.

Front view with 'flash' to show the glass effect of the dimensional magic.

Working with such an adorable scenery image I wanted to give the effect of looking out the window so I added dimensional magic to the image to help bring it to 'life' and give it a glass like finish as it would have if being seeing through a window pane.  The middle part of the pane I inked with my brown inks and for the window frame I heat embossed it with my 'off white' embossing powder.

I also have made the sentiment for the inside so it is all ready to place in my posting stash once December rolls around.  It is amazing how much more time and stress-free doing that last simple step is.  So all I have to do when the silly season rolls around is close my envelopes, pop on a stamp and post them away!

Thank you for dropping in on me!
