Monochromatic @ Christmas Card Challenges

I have some exciting news to share with you all today!

Last month I was very fortunate to play along as a Guest
 with the gorgeous girls at

Well ... they have kindly asked me if I would like to join the Design Team!

We all know how much I {love} Christmas, that I just could not refuse !
Now I know it is Christmas CARD challenges but Sparkle has kindly agreed to let me also make Christmas decor bits and pieces too!  *this girls delight* Squeal*

My first official challenge with the team is this week and the challenge is ....
#31 Monochromati

The challenge theme is optional, the only real rule is you must create a new Christmas Holiday, winter or Hanukkah card / creation.

I am in need of a new tree for my table decorations and I just could not put down my Graphic 45 papers.  They were screaming at me to make them into something more beautiful than what they already were, so I went monochromatic with greens and turquoise blues and wella .... a table tree decoration was born!
 The Front

Back view (sorry it's a little out of focus)

Close up of the front with birds nest fibers under the sentiment and a large spray of swirly whirly beads.

Love the star bead on the top! and those Kaisecraft Turquoise blooms.

I adore the bunting wrapped around the tree with the soft green pearls, and the swiryl whirly beads remind me of baubles.

And most of all, I love that everything came from my scraps and hording stash!

The tree frame is a horded Graphic 45 paper, the bunting is made from Graphic 45 scraps, the ribbon and lace are from nana's ribbon box along with the strand of pearls that were originally white but I dumped them in a jar with some diluted green alcohol ink, along with the bird nest fibers.  The bead swirls are homemade from my abundance supply of beads and the star bead on the top is from an old Christmas decoration that I pulled apart. The sentiment is Stampin Up' mixed with a Sizzix stamp and cut diecut.
I am really chuffed with how well this finished and I am sure it is going to look magical on the table with Christmas lunch.  I think I might even make some mini ones to match :))

We would love to see your monochromatic Christmas creations this week so be sure to link up and play along with us at

Looking  forward to seeing you there!
Thanks for dropping in to see me today :)
