Sweet Sweet Spring is in the Air!

Ok, well, maybe Spring is not quite in the air for me over in OZ as we start to move into Winter.  The days have started to get cooler, and the mornings and late evenings have a real bite of a chill in them!  The Summer sheets have been washed and packed away in the cupboard and swapped for the cozy feather dona.

But ...  In Europe it is Spring and that just happens to be this weeks challenge at
# 116 - Spring Is In The Air
I have done my best to capture the feeling with lots of pink, but as you will see from my photos, my garden is now all mulched with hay so I have lots of creams, golden yellows and browns in the garden and I think that is why again I have mixed pink with warm chocolates.  Being that I adore pink the majority of my flowers in Spring time are several shades of pink so I have tried to remember them and incorporate that as well.

Anyway ... enough natter and let me show you where the feelings in the air took me this week - I came up with a card, a matching envelope and a matching gift box. (This set is being hand delivered and why I went the extra step with the envelope as well). I also have a slight problem with Dylan and Chloe fighting over who gets to give the pretty present, so this way, they both get to give her something pretty.  I have no idea what I am going to do when Emilie is old enough to join in on this debate too!

The Set - Left to right - Card, gift box and envelope

 The card - front

The card - inside

The envelope

The gift box

I kept with the same LO on all the pieces, though I custom made the gift box slightly smaller than both the envelope and card so it would nicely hold the gift I have planned to go inside.  The image is Girl In Window available from The Craft Pad HERE.  On the card I have a thin lace border around the outer circle but I did find it somewhat difficult to stay in place and on all the other pieces I changed this to a fine glitter border.  The flowers are also cut from lace from my sewing stash that I am trying to use up and clean out and I have tea and coffee stained them.  All the pieces have also been given a pearl white glimmer mist spritz but my camera has not really picked this up.

This little I made for a friends adorably cute little girl who has just turned 2! We went off to party with her yesterday, and the kids and I really had a great time!
