Forgive me in saying so but I never want to see a piece of red thread EVER again!  But wow doesn't it look fantastic against the browns and tans and therefore was well worth the hours sewing it lol.  The flowers are handmade, as are all the blingy thingies (had some time to kill and what better way than fiddling).  I have to say that this card turned out way better than what I had originally planned in my head and I am hugely in love with it.

Keeping It Real @ MAWTT

Let's face the facts! It's Thursday and time for a new challenge at

 Moving Along With The Times

Judith is in the hostess with the mostest this week and she picked the challenge 

Keep it REAL! 
no fantasy images!
no angels, fairies, non living things or untruths!

Now this is not at all a hard challenge, but for the life of me I sat at my desk for hours going through all my images and just could not think of anything to do or what I thought appropriate :#  So in the end I thought to 'play it safe' and make a baby card with this too cute little giraffe.

Hmm... looking at my photos now I release that the base DP is upside down (oops  never noticed while putting it together lol) The image is from my random stash so I do not know who or where it is from, but he is colored with Spectrum Noirs.  The DP is Prima and the ribbon, bow and pearls are all from my stash. I love the bright and cheery yellow in this and it has mixed great with the distress touch too I think.

Good Morning all :)

Nautical! 

We would love you to think, boats, mermaids, sea shells, pirates, anything to do with the water. 

I thought a mermaid would be fitting for the occasion so this is my card for the week :) 

The mermaid image is a wallpaper that I snagged from here, the papers are from Raspberry Road, the paper and bead spray from my old stash of Prima goodies and the seashell charms, button lace and ribbon from my stash of bits and pieces.

#169 We're Girly Girls @ The Crafty Pad

Supper Sunday all!

Today there is a new challenge for the week at

We're Girly Girls - 

Bling it up and show some PINK!

I know we are all girly girls and love our pink and bling so this should be easy peasy for you all this week! 

I took the moment and made the Princess Chloe's Birthday card cause after all, she is the girl-est of girls in this house and well .... The challenge is her to a tee! lol

I gave Chloe free rein over my craft room to pick her bits and pieces that she wanted to have on her card.  She picked a very small selection of papers for me (all from my scrap bin), the charm, the flower, pearls and the too gorgeous Lulu Blowing Bubbles image from The Crafty Pad Designs.   I was left with a rather small supply of things to work with, but, on the sly while she was at school her card came together :)  She has noticed that the 'Chloe's card things pile' is gone and keeps asking me where it is gone though lol  Oh the joys of working with a 4 year old who thinks she is 24!

Summer Sunshine @ Moving Along With The Times

It is time for some Summer Sunshine at 

 Moving Along With The Times

Ms Clarie is in charge of the challenge this week

Things are still really chiller down here in the southern hemisphere (understatement) so a dose of summer rays would be blissful!  Think that may be why I had so much fun making this card and why I could not resist the colors let alone this gorgeous image!  

 I would love to take credit for this image, but alas, it is not mine :( 

I did snag it for FREE from HERE though :))

Think it is meant to be a wallpaper for your computer but I think it works great in this card :$

 Wouldn't be me if I didn't do the inside too! 

Now ... I have never been much of a digital paper kinda girl but...  I have no idea who it was but on one of my DT rounds I stumbled across someone who had the most amazing DP and it was digital!  I could not help but go and peak at where she got it from and .... I'm hooked!  All the DP in this is from Raspberry Road Designs and are all from the Summers End and Country Home collections.  I am in love with all the papers over there!  

This card is heading it's way to my sweet lovely mum :) She just got a new job and she took a huge leap of faith with it and ... Did not consult me once!!!! OMG this is a huge step for her and I am so proud she is learning to trust in herself and her own judgement.

Some Crafty Pad Inspiration

Good morning folks! 

Have you seen the new feature over at 

The Crafty Pad Challenge Blog?

Each Tuesday some of the DT girls are pulling out their Crafty Pad Designs images and giving you a peak at what you might have missed in the store.

This week is is my turn to try and inspire you :)) 

I had a great play with Patch Flying.  While I have used the uncolored version of Patch, there is also a colored image available too.  I think Patch is just adorable and he is perfect for guys and girls cards, though this card is going to a little fellow (my nephew).

Really really really Clean and Simple! Yeah! Don't fall off your chair seeing this from me :)) Such a different style for me, but, I like it! (Don't worry, I still love my bling and all things, it is just nice to mix things up and well lets face it, I am challenging myself to be versatile!)

I am learning that sometimes, things look better in a sea of white space and all on their own and I think this style really captures Patch in his plane.  The touch of some doodling and he is all set to take flight :) 

Now, I am sure you all have some Crafty Pad Designs Images somewhere in your stashes. 

Well, now is the time to dig them out!
