Going Dotty @ Moving Along With The Times

Mornings all!
Thursdays always bring a thrill around here!
As it is brings a new challenge at ....

I also have some news to share with you today :(
It has been a really busy last few months for me,
and I have an even busier new year planned with
returning to work full-time, so after much thought, tossing and turning,
I have decided to step down from the team :(

I love the cabbage patch of nutters over there so I will still be playing along with them whenever I get the opportunity too!  They are a fantastic bunch of girls to work with and I thank them and Hazel for inviting me onto the team!  I have had a blast and made some great friends that I will never forget and hope to visit and drop in on often!

Talking about Dream Teams to work with!
Moving Along With The Times
is also holding a DT call!
You can check out all the dets HERE!
Go on ... check it out!  You will not find a better patch of folks to work with!
I'm seriously tempted right now to delete my post and take back my resignation! Cause these girls ARE that nice!

You are also here for a challenge!
So ... This week Claire is challenging the team to ...
Let's go Dotty!
We wanna see spots / dots!

This is an easy challenge!  So I am sure you are all up for it and will play along!

Now ... I warn you, with my card this week ...
You may need a paper bag as you are likely to hyperventilate!
I have gone ...
Clean and Simple this week!

Yeah baby!  That is ONE layer!
OMG!  I struggle to breath now just looking at this! :)

See! I can shock you all every-now and then lol
And hey!  After all!  It is nice to go out with a BANG!

I do love Clean and Simple, specially when everyone else does C&S.  I myself just can not do C&S!  I always end up adding on more and more and more!  But I do love this card and it was a really nice challenge for myself that I think I am going to have to really challenge myself like this more often!

The gorgeous image and sentiment is Snow Mom from Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps, I have colored her with Spectrum Noirs (another thing I am challenging myself with in this card) and I do love how she colored up!  For her snow pom pom I have used clear stickles and for the fluff on her hat and coat some white 3d fabric paint.   For some dotty-ness I printed out with the image the dotted border and have also added some snowflakes with liquid pearls.

 Stitchy Bears Digital Stamps
are also sponsoring our challenge this week!
And there is a fabulous prize up for grabs!

And the Moving Along With The Times girls
have gone a little spotty too this week
so be sure to pop on over and see the girls!
They would love if you called past!

With a heavy heart I bid you all a farewell! :(
And thank you greatly and muchly for calling past to see me today :)

GDT with {Cupcake Inspirations}

Woo Hoo! It's Sunday!
I have been busting for today to come all week!
Why ? You ask?

Well this lucky chicky is very fortunate to be a Guest Designer
crafting along with the totally talented girls from ....
{Cupcake Inspirations}

*Happy Dance* is inserted here!

I also could not of wished for a more lush-a-licious inspiration pic to play along with either!  Just have a look at this!

Wowzers! Isn't that the prettiest picture!
All those spotty textures and the swirls on the leaves and those way to cute little lady bugs just jumped right out at me when I saw this!
Maybe that is why I craftingly went like this ...

That gorgeous pink ladybug DP and way to cute image is from this weeks sponsor,
Thank you ever so muchly for letting me have a play with these!
I had way too much fun!
For playing along with {Cupcake Inspirations} this week, she has ever so kindly donated to one lucky winner a $15 gift certificate to her store!  Thank you!

The sentiment is home made on my computer and I added the white brads to follow the textured spots in the pic - they were originally a tacky purple from my stash that I changed with some heat embossing. The ribbon I had to have to carry through the spots and the swirls on the leaves, well... I just could not resist.  I even threw in a ladybug embellishment that I picked up the other day from a bargain bin (didn't think I would be using them this soon! Woo Hoo! ) and I could not help but add the faux stitching and all the doodling as doodling is what ladybugs do!

I hope you will all find something that catches your eye and inspires you to play along with {Cupcake Inspirations} this week. If you need a little more inspiration, pop by the {Cupcake Inspirations} blog and I am sure the work from the DT will more than get those creative juices flowing!

Thank you for dropping in on me,
And thank you to the girls at {Cupcake Inspirations} for having me!

Wondering what I got up too?
I made an adorable acetate gift box & matching card for hubby.
Don't you just love Gum Balls!
I could not resist buying these a few weeks back when I saw
them in Woolworths & instantly thought of this creation!

All those gum balls with the bubble DP just looks so yummy!

Got The Blues with Gingerloft Challenges

Wow! Time is going by so quick that I almost forgot today is a new fortnightly challenge at

Where does the time go?

This week ... We have...
GOT THE BLUES!

Again this week I have used Gingerlofts- Freebie Butterfly Flight - What can I say, I am in love with this verse and it's FREE!!! You can have it too by clicking HERE!

And this is where I went with feeling BLUE!

The papers are from my stash of favorites at the moment and I have lots of lace too as I have been raiding my sewing stash that is overflowing!  The 3 flowers on the sentiment with the blue pearl centers are cut from a ribbon lace and I have added a small white scallop lace around the sentiment, and the blue flower boarder along the bottom is also a lace trim as well!   The blue butterfly I rescued from the packaging from some blue raffia I brought ages ago and I have 'blinged' it up with some clear and black jewels and given it a blue pearl following tail.  I have also given the card a soft distressed look by lightly distressing all the layers edges.  Yummy yummy lace and pearls!

On the inside I have added a tea bag pocket and again used the blue flower lace with pearl centers and softly distressed the layers.  I have left the message side blank at the moment as I am not sure if I am sending this to my step mother in law or if I should send it to my other grandma for Mothers' Day.   Oh decisions decisions lol

So ... have I given you the blues too???
I sure do hope so!

We really would love you to play along with us at

You have two weeks to have your entries in,
And you may enter as many times as you like.
You are not required to use a Gingerloft image to play,
though we do love to see them and the site has many
FREEBIES including THIS ONE!
