Tag #12 @ 12 Weeks of Christmas - Funkie Junkie Style

Mornings :)

I am a little sad today :(
I share with you the last tag in the

Playing along to this challenge has really been a lot of fun!
I have stepped outside my comfort zone, tried new techniques
and really fallen in love with tags!

Linda has certainly ended the challenge with a beauty!
You can see her tag HERE or scroll to the bottom of this post.
The flourishes and the vibrant red of Linda's tag got my head spinning
and Mojo and I were off and inspired!

The vintage pic of Santa I found on Pintrest, I matted it on some papers from my scraps and then on some tulle.

Along the left side of the image I added a feather (it just screamed Santa's beard to me) and on the right some Floral Flourishes.

Some more ribbon from my Really Reasonable Ribbon Club, a raid of my stash for the bell, pearls and handmade pins made the total of all the embellishments.

Augh! Another tag I have fallen in love with! lol
I am so happy I made the decision to play along and I am a little chuffed that I have finished the whole series considering I started late in the challenge.

Now ... We just keep our fingers crossed for Mr Random and maybe,
just maybe I might be lucky enough to win one of the prizes for
While this is the last tag of the series,
The challenge doesn't end till December 17th
so there is still time to play along!
Check out all the details on the how to HERE!
To end the series, I though I would cap on all the tags I made
and it is a double check measure for me that I have them all :$

Tag #11 @ 12 Weeks of Christmas - Funkie Junkie Style

Hello :)

Back again as promised :)
And this time with tag # 11 for
OMG! Linda's tag this week was just .... WOW!
And I just fell in love with her script background with the flourishes and the gorgeous chain like textured piece she used behind the sentiment.  You can see Linda's tag HERE or scroll to the bottom of this post.

I have been itching to find a reason to use the chain mesh ribbon I brought weeks ago and this called for the time to break it out of it's packet.  I created the background with a mix of a script stamp and a flourish from Bella's Clear stamps. Then, it was time to embellish!

The vintage picture I acquired through pintrest, I wanted really vintage so I printed it out on Kraft, added some brown glitter to the edges, a clear coat of embossing powder and layered on the chain mesh ribbon.

The rose is handmade with a gold pearl center that has been layered on top of bow and then on top of an pulled apart prima flower.  Along the bottom of the tag I added some crochet lace and the gold leaves and berries all came from a Christmas decoration I have pulled apart.

I just LOVE this tag!
I think it would have to come in the top 3 of my favorites I have made for this series!

I am sure Linda would love you to play along in the series too
and there is a fab prize to spend at
If you would like to play along to win, there is still time!
And you can find all the details HERE!

I only have tag 12 to go in the series!
So I am off to have another play to complete the series :)
Thanks for stopping in to see me xx

Tag #10 @ 12 Weeks of Christmas - Funkie Junkie Style

Mornings people :)

I have not exactly fallen behind in my tags for

We just had really horrible weather last week and getting a decent photo was just not possible!
So today I am going to bombard you with two tags that have been sitting on my desk waiting for clear skies.

Firstly is my tag for week #10
Wow! Linda's tag was just la la LUSH!
Breathtakingly beautiful in fact!
You can see Linda's tag HERE or scroll down to the bottom of the post.

Linda's tag reminded my a perfect winter's chimney,
so I used that as my inspiration for this tag.

I don't have a brick embossing folder :(
So I decided to try playing with my core'dinations, ruler and the end of my craft knife and tried to make my own 'brick-like'' look. I added some dripped crackle paint to the top and the bottom covered in glitter for some snow.

A bell and some gold twin from my stash and a Kaisercraft Rubon for the sentiment.

Another reason this one has sat on my desk is well, I think it it still missing something :(  I just can not put my finger on what though :$  I adore how the brick texture came up with the core'dinations, and I gave it all a light sanding as well to bring out the flourish on the cardstock..  And as I adored the look of it, I didn't want to cover it up much either.  The flower I pulled from my handmade stash and the ribbon is new from my lastest Really Reasonable ribbon club pack.

As you know, I am playing along for a chance to
win the yummy prize voucher for
If you would like to play along to win, there is still time!
And you can find all the details HERE!

I still have tag #11 to write up and watermark so I am off for now :)
Will check back with you all in a bit!
Thanks for stopping in to see me :)

Tag #9 @ 12 Weeks of Christmas - Funkie Junkie Style

Greetings folks :)

Sailing in today to share another tag I have made for the series of
This tag is for week #9
And again! Linda just out did herself with her tag!  It is uttlerly drop drop gorgeous! You can see Linda's tag HERE or scroll down to the bottom of the challenges for a pic.

I loved Linda's tag but alas, my craft room just doesn't have all the cool toys like hers :( So I made do with what I have anyway :)  And I have my fingers crossed the Jolly old man in red will look over my MUST HAVE Christmas list before he goes shopping! lol

I loved the fence like embossed background, the red and white of the stars and the so country gingham ribbon, although Linda's ribbon was green & white check, it still screamed an old fashioned Nanna's kitchen to me so I opted for red and white and I loved how she incorporated the bells.

So ... This is what Mr Mojo and I whipped up!

I really wanted to include some embossing so I opted for a crinkle inplace of the fence (and I don't have a fence / wood grain embossing folder).  The 'corrugated tin look' is also a little more suited to here in Oz as well.

A raid of my ribbon and I found this gorgeous ribbon and matching frilly trim!
This screams Nanna's and her Apple Pie to me :$

The embellishments .... I have been doing some shopping :(
The bells are from my stash, but all the glittery pieces are from Christmas decorations that I JUST HAD TO buy and I have cut a little from each and glued them all together.

The sentiment is a rubber stamp I grabbed from my stash and have embossed it with black and wrapped up like a scroll with some ink distressing around the edges.  I gave the corrugated base a light sanding here and there in places, and touched it lightly with Distress inks in places too.

I am planning on using this tag on a cellophane gift bag of candy cane cookies for a friend!  I think the two are going to look delicious together!

Linda also has a wonderful prize up fro grabs!
A voucher to spend at
If you would like to play along to win, there is still time!
And you can find all the details HERE!

Tag #10 was released this week, so once I have that one done I will be all up to date!
Linda created another beautiful tag this week so I am off to be inspired again!

Tag 4 @ 12 Weeks of Christmas - Funkie Junkie Style

Hello's!

I'm sailing in again! with another tag for

I am catching up fast so I promise the tags will stop soon lol
Today I am sharing my take on Tag #4

As always, Linda's tag was just delicious! And what really caught my eye was the ginghma / check pattern going on throughout her whole tag.  So ... I used that for my inspiration in making mine.

A raid of my stash and the only gingham / check kind of paper I had was my Graphic 45! So G45 it was going to be and I knew I had the perfect country check ribbon in my stash to match (though, it needed a tea stain to tone down the white.

I paired the G45 papers up with a santa stamp.

A raid of my Prima stash and I found the adorable black stars, the gold twigy bits and large star bead were pulled from old Christmas decorations..

Santa has been embossed in rangers fine black detail powder with some gold square brads on the corners and some TH distress inks used to age the piece.  A Kaisercraft rubon (25th Dec) was used on along the top and some raffia for the tag tie.  The tag has a very masculine feel to it that I am just loving!

I am seriously loving
I have been having so much fun as tags are a
retaliative new thing for me to be playing with!

Linda also has a wonderful prize up fro grabs!
A voucher to spend at

I'm off to play with some more tags!
Check ya laters, and thanks for calling past :)

Tag 8 @ 12 Weeks of Christmas - Funkie Junkie Style

Mornings folks :)

Wow!  This place has been rather busy of late!
I like it! Means I have been getting Mojo-vated and crafty!

It is time for another tag to catch up with

Today I am catching up with tag #8!
This tag, really ... stumped me with what to do!

Linda's tag has minimal embellishments and is very 'old classic' vintage with the selection of traditional images she used and even the colors.

Right ... so how did I sum that all up?  Minimal embellishments, traditional image and try for an 'authentic vintage look' - yes I did just say minimal embellishments! OMG!
Ok, so my tag is vastly different to Linda's!  But that is the beauty of taking inspiration and adding your own style, quirkiness and individuality to things. Linda's tag is pretty, but the colors, just were not my colors today :(

I raided my Kaiser Rubons for the Peace sentiment on the tag and added a little jingle bell beaded decal too.

In my collection of stamps I grabbed the sleigh silhouette.  This would have to be the most vintage Christmas stamp I own!  And for the background I used the a script stamp from my stash.

Besides a good distress to the edges with TH Distress inks and my craft knife, there really is not much else to this tag.  I do adore it though and hope to get a chance to sit down on the weekend and making a few more of these as they are that quick and simple and I know they will look magical under my tree!

As you know, I am playing along for a chance to win a voucher to
My wish / want / have to have list just keeps on growing every-time I go peak in that store!

By my count now, I only have tag 9 to go to be up todate!
So, I'm off to play again!

Tag 5 @ 12 Weeks of Christmas - Funkie Junkie Style

Good mornings :)

You must be getting tired of seeing all these tags!
But I do promise, I am nearly there on catching up
and then it will be down to just one a week lol

So ... here we go again with another

Today I got started on Tag #5
Some people seem to be getting confused or not reading my post and thinking Linda's tag is also mine, so for future, I am placing the pic of Linda's tag down the bottom with the challenge referances.

I loved several things about Linda's tag!  The music for one, the nice big sentiment and the gorgeous rosette and tried to incorporate all these factors into my tag.

I cut a rosette on the Cameo, added some TH distress inks and glittler flakes to the edges. Topped it with some wood fibers, twine bow and a rusty adorable bell.

The flourishes are from Crafty-emblies and I think they are just adorable!  The silver Joy is a chipboard sticker I found in my stash and totally forgot I had! (I seem to have a lot of forgotten stash!) I do love love love the real vintage feel to this tag, so much so I think I might give this tag to Santa to use for one of my pressies this year! lol

If you have been following along with me, you would know that I am playing along in The Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas for an entry to win the yummy prize of  going shopping in

If you have not checked out the boutique I strongly recomend you do!
There is some too gorgeous-a-licious stuff in there!

Tag 7 @ 12 Weeks of Christmas - Funkie Junkie Style

Good mornings :)

I am beginning to feel like I am chasing my tail to catch up with
I am getting there though and I have another one to cross off the list today!
Today I got started on Tag #7
Yeah yeah I am still all over the place in regards to the order lol

Linda has yet again created another adorable tag! The evergreen trees in the tag background and behind the Christmas cottage caught my eye this time.  I also adore the reindeer (another die I don't have but I see it is now on my wishy want-y list! lol)  And I love the slightly raised curve the corrugated cardboard gives on the tag, it reminded me of a hill setting.

So ... I took all that, and tried to make a snowy hill scene with gorgeous evergreen trees in the foreground an ornate wooden porch and I was hoping to find a reindeer in my stash to throw in too!

My tag on the lefty here    Funkie Junkie Tag here on the right.

To make my tree scene I used a tree set I have in my collection.
The little reindeer is from my stash and was originally a stud earing that I have removed the back off.  I brought these for my girls but as they are not sterling silver, they hurt their ears and they can not wear them :(  Least I have found a use for them now :))

The bunny is also another earing from the set I brought.  The chipboard fence I found hidden in my bottom drawer (I don't even remember when I brought this!)  It has had a dose of TH distress inks and I was after a lantern effect with the yellow flower.

I started this tag by first creating my grass with a piece of torn paper for my grass hill and sponging over it and upwards to make the hill.  Sky was next with some more sponging and TH Distress inks, followed next was the trees. I used the middle of the trees from the Tree Trio set. For the snow I used 3d fabric paint with dazzling diamonds over the top and then stuck down the fence and lantern post and embellished with the flower and the little animals.  I'm still a novice in regards to the 'rules' to tags but I had to matt this!  It just didn't look finished and I was not happy with it till I matted it :$  So I matted it lol

Monday saw a another new tag so there is now 9 in total!
This is number 5 for me so I am over half way there to catching up!
I can do it!  I got to do it!
as I do really want a chance to win the shopping spree at

So ... the less time I spend here chatting,
the better my odds of Mojo waiting for me and my next tag!
I'm off to have a peak & a play with the other new stamps
I have in my latest Mr Postie shipment from

Catch ya laters!
Thanks for dropping in to see me :)
